RESTORATION/REPLICATION: North Fork offers many services in this area. Complete or partial restoration or replication of existing windows. This includes basic stopgap work, to replication of pieces beyond reasonable repair which are broken, to complete reconstruction and releading of panels/windows.

Of Note: In some instances glass which was produced in earlier centuries can no longer be obtained and as close a match as possible will be used. Prices on restoration work vary greatly according to the original studio that produced the piece. Some studios had higher quality work which demands a higher price to reproduce. Call or e-mail me for quote.

SYMBOLS/MEDALLIONS can depict any symbolic motif or theme. These are hand painted, kiln fired pieces using vitreous paints, glass stainers enamels and sometimes stains. The generic category of symbolism of Old and New Testament themes is widely used by many studios. There is also a more detailed category of Life of Christ Scenes. These symbols/medallions can be of any shape, but the size is usually limited to a small area of a window. They can be on one piece of glass (which is usually limited to around a square foot in size) or they can be broken, as a stained glass window is broken( when depicted larger than one square foot area of a window). Prices run $110-135 for the generic one-piece plates, $135-200 for Life of Christ scenes on one-piece plates, $280-up for broken larger depictions.

1) Generic Symbols/Medallions: The more generally accepted themes of Old and New Testament Artwork. Depict symbolic representations for many of the stories of the Bible. They are generally done with vitreous paints, glass stainers enamel paints and, when needed, stains.
